2016 Localization Support Program Information

1. Project Objective

❍ To provide a foundation for expansion of Korean agricultural product exports by providing support for resolution of non-customs related difficulties experienced by exporters of agricultural (seafood) products and local import buyers during customs clearance, such as processes of exporting (importing)

2. Project Specific Details

- Support for resolution of non-tariff barrier

  ❍ Provision of consultation services concerning local regulations/institutions (contracts, customs tariffs, SPS, etc.) by local professional institutions in related fields

- Labeling Production and Registration

  ❍ Provision of support for production of sample labels in local language for exported products and its registration to ensure that it meets local labeling requirements

- Packaging Localization

  ❍ Provision of support for import buyers to develop packaging designs and packaging appropriate for local culture by hiring local packaging design agencies

- Buyer Specialization Support

❍ Customized support for buyers, such as imported food product registration, imported food product inspection expenses (specification inspection, residual pesticide inspection, etc.), etc

❍ (Agricultural/seafood exporters and buyers) non-tariff barrier resolution consultation, labeling production/registration

❍ (Buyers) Packaging localization, buyer specialization support
